Porch Enclosure FAQ

What Are The Most Common Problems With Screened-In Porches?

Below, we’ve compiled a list of the most common problems with porch enclosures. If you notice any of the following, feel free to give our team a call to see how we can help!

  • Heavy dust and pollen buildup
  • Broken or torn window screens
  • Limited protection from rain and wind
  • Severe structural issues
  • Lack of durability

Is It Better To Repair Or Replace My Porch Enclosure?

Repairing porch disclosures is usually best if the problem you’re facing is minor, such as torn window screens and hardware in a state of disrepair. Any major issues, such as significant structural damage, should warrant getting a replacement.

Do You Provide Porch Enclosure Replacement?

We do have some very enticing porch enclosure options that we’ve highlighted above. While we can’t install them in-house, we can supply them to you when you come to our Newburyport facility!

How Do I Stop Leaks In My Enclosure?

The most crucial step you can take to stop leaks in your porch enclosure is to identify the source of the leak. This is typically within your roof seams and wall junctions. You can then apply caulk or another powerful adhesive to stop water flow in its tracks.

What Should I Be Checking During Porch Enclosure Maintenance?

Most of what needs to be done during porch enclosure maintenance is control cleaning. Use a non-abrasive cleaner on your window screens and hardware to ensure the best results. You can also check for rotting and structural damage; both of them are easy to spot with the eye test.
