Newbury is a small, suburban town in northeastern Massachusetts with a population of 6,666. It is separated into three villages: Newbury Center, Plum Island, and Byfield. The nearby towns of West Newbury, Newburyport were once part of the town of Newbury. Lies along the Atlantic Ocean, it is the mouth of several rivers that empties into the ocean in Newbury. The Parker, the Plum Island, and the Little River all pass through the town providing a stable source of transportation for residents of the town in the past. Today, people of Newbury can easily gain access to the highway via Interstate 95, Route 1A and the Newburyport Turnpike.
